Recycling Services Available at RCM Alabama: What We Accept & How On-Site Recycling Works
At RCM Alabama, we’re committed to keeping Birmingham clean, sustainable, and environmentally responsible—and one of the biggest ways we make that happen is through our convenient on-site recycling services. Whether you’re a contractor clearing a job site, a landscaper hauling debris, or a homeowner looking to responsibly dispose of materials, we make recycling easy.
Here’s a breakdown of the materials we accept, how the process works, and everything you need to know before visiting our facility—including our popular Christmas tree recycling program.
Materials Accepted at Our On-Site Recycling Facility
We process a wide variety of recyclable construction, landscaping, and organic materials. Bring them to our Birmingham location, and we’ll handle the sorting, processing, and repurposing.
✔ Concrete
We accept dirty concrete. It’s crushed and repurposed into aggregates used in construction and roadwork.
✔ Asphalt
Recycled asphalt (RAP) is in high demand for paving and driveway projects. We accept clean chunks or milled asphalt for processing.
Whether it’s leftover material from a renovation or debris from demolition, brick and masonry can be repurposed into durable base materials.
Landscape rock, gravel, marble, and similar materials can be reused for a variety of construction and landscaping applications.
We accept clean fill dirt free from contaminants and debris.
✔ Organic Materials
This includes:
Brush
Limbs
Logs
Yard debris
And Christmas trees—one of our most popular seasonal recycling items
Organic materials are processed into mulch or ground cover, keeping them out of landfills and giving them new life in local landscaping projects.
